This listing includes:
- Lenovo X1 Carbon Laptop
- Lenovo AC Charger (with UK plug)
EU buyer? Leave a note at checkout if you'd like for us to include the EU plug cable (instead of the UK plug cable).
- During the service, we cannot be held responsible for any data loss that may occur, as we may be required to reinstall the Operating System (which will erase previous data).
- We are unable to offer data recovery. As a good practice, we advise our customers to regularly back up their data.
- This does not apply to cosmetic wear due to use, nor existing issue(s) already noted in the original listing, nor does it cover any consumable part (e.g. the battery). During the service, if damage due to misuse is found, e.g. liquid damage /drops, cracked screen, etc, then the cover will be voided (set out fully in the "additional return policy details" below).
- Our 12-month RTB cover, is separate to any remaining manufacturer's warranty. To be clear, any remaining manufacturer's warranty is not considered a part of this listing's offer, and should be considered as bonus only, should you aim to use it (the rationale is that whilst the Lenovo laptops' warranty follow the serial number & are serviceable under such warranty normally - we have no influence over the manufacturers' warranty policy in the future, should they adjust); as such we stand by our 12-month RTB limited hardware cover only, as a part of this listing.

Go from 0 to 80 in 60
The X1 Carbon delivers** up to 15 hours of battery life. And if you’re running low, the RapidCharge technology provides 80% capacity in just an hour. So a 60-minute lunch break or a layover can easily boost your battery** up to 12 hours. What more could a road warrior ask for? And when you’re actually working at your desk, the new docking system fits seamlessly with side mechanical docking that snaps into place. The easy alignment also delivers outstanding stability while docked, and it’s shared across multiple ThinkPad products.
* Based on testing three different product configurations with MobileMark 2014. Battery life varies significantly with settings, usage, and other factors. **CruiseTech note: quoted battery life is based on an estimated maximum. Actual battery life may vary significantly based on many factors, including screen brightness, active applications, features, power management settings, battery age and conditioning, and other customer preferences - as such we do not guarantee the system will reach the manufacturer's quote. We've seen anywhere between 3.25hr (e.g. updating Windows) to 10 hours (idling on power saving mode with wifi on) depending on how heavy the workload is.
Wise men speak when they have something to say
Quickly and easily find files and calendar events. Even put your system into Modern Standby mode, which improves battery performance. So go ahead and speak your mind and boost your productivity at the same time.
Prepare to be thunderstruck
The X1 Carbon includes Intel® Thunderbolt™ 3—the technology that brings lightning-fast Thunderbolt to USB-C at speeds up to 40 Gbps. Connect a cable from your USB-C port to a Thunderbolt 3-enabled device, and get four times the data and twice the video bandwidth of any other port type, while also supplying power. So you get Thunderbolt 3, USB-C and DisplayPort - all rolled into one.
Built to go on and on. And on.
Like all ThinkPads, the X1 Carbon is tested against 12 military-grade requirements and more than 200 quality checks to ensure they run in extreme conditions. From the arctic wilderness to desert dust storms, from zero-gravity to spills and drops, you can trust this laptop to handle whatever life throws your way. Plus, with four layers of carbon-fiber reinforced chassis and a magnesium alloy roll-cage for added strength, you know that reliability is our middle name.
Flick your finger for privacy
Forgo any concerns about being watched or inadvertently turning on the webcam with the new ThinkShutter. This built-in sliding cover ensures front-facing camera privacy and security when you opt for the HD camera. It's easy to use and delivers strong protection.
Oh snap!
Good thing it's drool-proof
The fingerprint reader thwarts biometric hacking with anti-spoofing technology—that means the fingerprint image is saved inside the chip, and as such, it’s not sent out for login authentication when you sign in. Your data is protected too, with the discrete Trusted Platform Module (dTPM), which encrypts your information. And if that’s not enough to make IT administrators love the new X1 Carbon, then the security capabilities that ThinkPad is enabled with is sure to have them drooling.
